About DELLTA

Our organization was founded in the 1990s by our Advisory Council member, Hilda Delgado-Greener.

DELLTA has been a voice for DE MLLs and a forum for the dedicated teachers, professionals, and researchers. We encourage like-minded professionals to join us in working together to continue advocating for DE MLLs.

Our Mission

DELLTA is dedicated to advocating for quality education for students of all ages who are learning English as an additional language.  We support students, educators, and families of Multilingual Learners. We offer graduation awards, seek equitable funding, and promote appropriate training for all educators who work with MLLs, both mainstream teachers and MLL specialists.
